Oliver Dohnányi, former two-time chief conductor of the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, will bring Andrea Goetsch, clarinetist of the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as the soprano Soňa Godarská, recipient of the Thalia Award 2024, to the stage of the Fatra House of Arts in Žilina on October 16, 2025, at 7 PM, in the year of his milestone anniversary.

Under the direction of Michael Pichler, two works connect the past and the present: the first movement from Mahler's unfinished 10th Symphony and the world premiere of “Expedition to Paradise,” a double concerto for clarinet, trumpet, and orchestra by South Tyrolean and Viennese resident Gerd Hermann Ortler—tailor-made for the two soloists Andrea Götsch (Vienna Philharmonic) and Bertold Stecher (Berlin Philharmonic).

World premiere of “Expedition to Paradise”: Double concerto for clarinet, trumpet, and orchestra  

Once again, Andrea Götsch is performing as a soloist in her orchestra and will now play 14 different opera productions and a total of 38 performances on the solo clarinet at the Vienna State Opera until the Philharmonic's tour of Asia in a month and a half.

PASSWORT KLASSIK: Opera camp at the Salzburg Festival – this time featuring Maria Stuarda by Gaetano Donizetti. Together with Philharmonic Orchestra member Andrea Götsch as musical director, choir director Veronika Lesjak, director Taro Morikawa, dance teacher Julia Schwarzbach and répétiteur Anastasia Kulikova, participants can look forward to an intensive and creative week full of music, movement and stage work. We look forward to exciting rehearsals and an expressive performance on 2 August at 4 p.m. at the Mozarteum Salzburg.

On 31 May 2025 at 8 pm, the Vienna Mozart Orchestra will perform at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia/Bulgaria under the direction of Andrea Götsch, who will also be the soloist. The next day, 1 June 2025 at 8 pm, the same concert will be performed in the Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb/Croatia.
